This body of work brings together my charcoal and graphite drawings
as part of an ongoing exploration of memory, territory, and return.
Charcoal is not a descriptive medium for me,
but a way of entering into contact with images
that do not originate in conscious intention.
Working slowly, I allow forms to surface
from an inner territory where experience, landscape,
and memory remain active beneath the visible.
Each series marks a different point of passage,
between inner and outer landscapes,
between what can be named
and what can only be seen.
